AEM Representative Participates in Global Drug Regulatory Conclave

The Global Drug Regulatory Conclave was held on 30–31 July 2026 in New Delhi, India.

The event was jointly organized by the Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council of India (PHARMEXCIL) and the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO). More than 60 specialists and senior representatives from drug regulatory authorities of over 40 countries participated in the conclave, including representatives from the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan and Russia.

During the two-day conclave, participants discussed key issues concerning the future of the global pharmaceutical sector, drug regulation, the improvement of regulatory mechanisms, and medicine safety.

At the conclusion of the event, participants were also invited to an official visit to the headquarters and laboratory complex of the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC). During the visit, participants gained insights into the Commission’s activities, laboratory infrastructure and practical experience.

Azerbaijan was represented at the conclave by Shirin Shahbazov, Head of the Import and Export of Medicines Department at the Analytical Expertise Center of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
